For years, many sailers, soldiers and Marines were stationed at the 'naval base Parera', the
'barracks on
Suffisante' and there are people who for months have been active on and around
the island, while stationed on a Navy ship or during militairy excercises.
During the tour at the 'naval base Parera', you will get information on the history of these bases
and the role of the Royal Dutch Navy and Royal Dutch Marine Corps in the Dutch Antilles.
There has been many changes but, however it is very nice to look back in time and
see how the bases have developed.
